A Love/Hate Relationship
I finally caved in and bought the Watercolor Wonder Crayons. I didn’t want to spend the money but everyone was raving about them so I just couldn’t hold off any longer.
When I finally received the package and opened it (with a giddy look on my face), I was surprised to find that all 48 crayons had melted into 1 big crayon! You know that feeling when you want something soooo bad and then you finally get it and it’s not what it’s supposed to be. Well… that’s what I felt!
This was the beginning of my love/hate relationship. My melted crayon was replaced with beautiful separated crayons within a week so I was in love again. I sat down to use the crayons for the very first time and my effort turned out UGLY! I thought… what!?!? Ugly!?!? These things are supposed to be fool proof… any idiot can make beautiful things with watercolor crayons. I had been led astray and back to hating them again.
My friends encouraged me to keep trying, gave me some helpful hints, and said that practice makes perfect. So I came home last night with that in mind… I was going to practice until I made perfect. Well, this card is not perfect but I’m very happy with how it turned out. I now LOVE my watercolor crayons for good!
