Complete Exhaustion
Our trip back to Iowa was definitely not relaxing but it was good to be home with family and friends again. Everything that could have possibly gone wrong on our flight did. The flight was late, the rental car company didn’t stay open, we lost baggage… you name it. We arrived at 4am on Saturday morning and had to be awake for a tee time at 7am. YIKES! Then an 85th birthday party, a wedding reception, and climb into bed for a few more hours of sleep before leaving the next morning. Needless to say, I’m glad to be home in the comfort of my own bed!
Before I left I challenged myself to keep my eyes open (which was tough with the lack of sleep… LOL!) for design inspiration. Well… I found some! And I played around with my color combos last night. This is what I came up with. The color combo is Cranberry Crisp, Regal Rose, and Pretty in Pink from a beautiful striped shirt on the woman who sat in front of me on the plane. I also have some other color combos to share that I haven’t had a chance to try out yet.
1) From Good Housekeeping magazine cover: Apricot Appeal, Pretty In Pink
2) From a dress in a fashion magazine: Cranberry Crisp, Old Olive, Really Rust
3) From a Walmart advertisement: Elegant Eggplant, Pink Passion, Sahara Sand
4) From a flowered blouse: Certainly Celery, Brocade Blue, Always Artichoke
I’d love to see your creations if you decide to try out any of these color combos! Send me an email at tayloredexpressions@excite.com with your card attached. Everybody who takes my mini-challenge will be entered into a drawing for some yummy stuff… primas, ribbon, and other goodies!
