Hello Friend
The major inspiration for this card is from Debbie Olson (debbiedesigns) and the beautiful cards she’s been creating with Bodacious Bouquet. The color inspiration is from Sam Carnathan (Samwich)… I just tweaked it a bit. Thanks ladies for your inspiration! The colors I used are Vintage Violet, Sage Shadow, and Almost Amythest. The bottom portion is stamped with Houndstooth in Sage Shadow and the top portion is stamped with Paisley Print in Almost Amythest. I distressed both of these pieces with my new favorite tool… the Tim Holtz Tonic Paper Distresser (pictured over here —–>).
This nifty little tool has 7 blades that never dull and you just run it across your paper for instant distressing. And no worries with the kiddos because the blades are recessed. They’ll never cut their little fingers and neither will you! LOL! I bought mine at www.ebbcreations.com on sale for $3.50, but I just went to their website and they must be out of stock at the moment because they aren’t pictured. There are several other online sites that do currently have them in stock… just Google Tim Holtz Tonic Paper Distresser. Enough enabling for today… back to the card! I punched the scallop circle with my Marvy Uchida Giga scallop circle punch. I pierced in each scallop and traced around it with my white gel pen. I curled the big flower under with a pencil to make them look more real. I got the self-adhesive rhinestones in the Michael’s dollar spot! They had red, green, blue, light blue, and white. The “Hello” sentiment is made with the Tidy Alphabet and popped up on dimensionals. The “friend” is from Everyday Flexible Phrases. Thanks for looking! I hope you all have a wonderful day!
