Hooray!! It’s Friday!
I have a fun weekend planned with stamping friends so I’ve been looking forward to Friday all week. I finished my shoebox swap last night, packed my bags, and now all I have to do is make a munchie to share. I’m making Puppy Chow! It has been for-evah since I’ve had that snack… YUM! And if you remember from last week, cupcake day is now a Friday tradition on my blog. Thanks to everyone who sent images and offered to send images! This week’s card is made from cupcake images I received from Amy Rohl (rohla). Thanks so much, Amy! The cupcakes are from the set What Could Be Better. The colors I used are Marigold Morning, Cool Caribbean, and Cranberry Crisp. I started by cutting out the images with scallop scissors and matting them onto the same color cardstock as the ink they were stamped in. I then punched squares out of coordinating colors and mounted the cupcakes onto the squares with dimensionals. I adhered the squares to the cardfront and pierced/stitched around each. You know you have a lot of ribbon when you have several choices to match the new In Colors just released three months ago. LOL! So I carefully chose the stitched and polka dotted ribbons and tied them around the card base. I’ve had the Happy Birthday clear tags gathering dust for a while so I decided to use one. Of course, this was after I had stamped Happy Birthday with the It’s Your Birthday set, so now it says Happy Birthday twice. But that’s OK, right!? It will be an *extra* Happy Birthday for whoever gets this card. 🙂 The background is stamped with Paisley Print and the “fun-wish-celebrate” words are from Everyday Flexible Phrases. I added a rhinestone for the flames and the cupcakes are covered with stardust Stickles. Thanks for looking and Happy Cupcake Day! 🙂
