Best Friends…
What a blast! I had so much fun yesterday at SoCal Mini Mania! We ate, chatted, laughed, swapped, ate, chatted & laughed some more. It’s always so much fun to get together. I only have one picture from yesterday and it’s Sam (Samwich), one of my downline and my best friend out here in California. It has been tough since moving here to make new friends, but Sam is always there for me. We talk every day and get together quite often too…. all because of our shared love of stamping and Splitcoast where we met! It’s still amazing to me how a stamping website facilitates life-long friendships with people near and far. So anyway, I was in a friend mood last night and this is the card that popped out. It describes Sam and I perfectly… I’m the elephant and she’s the little birdie. We make quite the funny pair… I’m 6’1″ and she’s an entire foot shorter than me at about 5’1″. LOL! Now to the card details… the cardstock colors are Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery, and Whisper White. The patterned paper is YUMMY! You *must* go to the nearest scrapbook store and get some! It’s called Crate Paper and comes in so many beautiful coordinating designs and the texture is MmmmmMmmmmm… good! I never thought I would describe paper with adjectives like yummy, but here I am. LOL! I stamped the elephant in Certainly Celery and covered it with stardust Stickles. I don’t know why, but the elephant has an ear in Barely Banana, popped up with a dimensional, and a Rose colored bow in it. I figured if I’m going to describe myself as the elephant I should at least get a pretty bow in my hair! LOL! The birdie is stamped in Regal Rose that was stamped off once. The oval is from A muse and it’s stamped in Barely Banana. The image is matted on Close to Cocoa and Certainly Celery which were both distressed. I also used the ticket corner punch, one of my newest and favoritest tools! I added the “best friends forever” with my Karen Foster snap stamps. The yellow ribbon has a delicate flower design and the background is stamped with Aida Cloth. Thanks for looking!
P.S. I know favoritest isn’t a real word…but it’s in my vocabulary anyway! 😉
