I am lovin’ the Halloween $1 stamps at Mike’s! They come in packages of two and they’re quite small. I was skeptical at first as to whether I would be able to make anything with such small images, but I’m finding it pretty easy. They make great backgrounds and additions to larger images already in my collection. I got the haunted house, flying witch, bat, spider web, and the words spooky, haunted house, and a couple others that are escaping my mind at the moment. Another exciting tidbit about Mike’s… my mom called me last night and told me that they have all new ribbon colors and patterns. This is very exciting for a ribbon addict like me, but I have yet to find time to run over there and corroborate my mom’s story. So let me know if you’ve seen new ribbons at Mike’s! The card base is Pumpkin Pie which I wheeled with the Spot On jumbo wheel. Other cardstock colors are Summer Sun, Whisper White, and Basic Black. The patterned paper is from Sandylion, which I bought at the ginormous sale at my LSS last weekend. I started out by stamping the spiderwebs which are partially colored with gray pencil and highlighted with white liquid applique. I used Itty Bitty Backgrounds for the speckles, added the hanging spider from Booglie Eyes and the spooky sentiment from Mike’s. The spider is covered with irridescent ice EP for some sparkle. I stitched and matted the image, added some doodles, ribbon, brads, and googlie eyes for the finished card. I think I’ll stop making Halloween cards now because I can’t sell them at my upcoming show and I’m running out of friends to RAK! LOL! Thanks for looking!
