Eat Something Cute!
It’s Friday, and even if it’s not your birthday… eat something cute anyway! I saw this sentiment on Heather Meeson’s blog a while back and I’ve been dying to use it ever since. I created the sentiment in a document and printed it directly onto the card front. It has been forever since I’ve used the computer for a sentiment! I used to do that all the time before I had many stamps to choose from, but nowadays there’s just too many floating around that will do the trick. Not for this card though! A big, huge thanks to Michelle (MilwaukeeMommy) for sending me this image for cupcake day! It is called Tiers of Treats and the manufacturer is Stampendous. Isn’t it yummy!? I want dessert and it’s only 8:30am! Particularly the cupcakes on the bottom tier with the chocolate frosting and a cherry on top. Mmmm…mmmm! I started the card with the patterned panel (SEI Winnie’s Walls) and built from there. The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol and a stump to match the colors in the patterned paper. I used the ticket corner punch, added silver brads, and did a little doodle around the image. The cherries are covered with Crystal Effects and other parts are covered with stardust Stickles. Both the image and the patterned panel are mounted on the opposite side of the double-sided Winnie’s Walls paper and cut out with the postage stamp scissors to match the scallop design in the patterned paper. The ribbon is Cameo Coral (available from me… $1.05 for 5 yards) tied in a bow and finished off with a green rhinestone brad.. gotta have the ba-ling factor! The Riveting stamp is embossed in silver (got that idea from atomicbutterfly) and colored in with markers. It really looks like one of those metal enamel charms from Making Memories. I don’t think I’ll be able to make cards with Riveting anymore without embossing it! So anyway… the 5th week of Cupcake Friday is over. Hope you enjoy the day and thank you to everyone who has sent me cupcake images… they’ll be put to good use and you’ll be seeing them soon! 🙂
