I had a friend over last night and she challenged me to use buttons on a card. It had been soooo long since I used buttons on anything! I don’t seem to have a problem buying the buttons though because there was no shortage in my collection. LOL! I decided to go with shades of purple buttons so I got out my color wheel to find a color combo to match with purple. I found Lovely Lilac, Ballet Blue, and Sage Shadow… all colors that I don’t use often enough! I started by coloring the BIG with markers and stamping the thanks sentiment (which I stamped a tad crooked, but I think I can handle it). The asterisk was stamped in Ballet Blue, cut out, and mounted on a dimensional. A purple button and a clear rhinestone are layered over the top. The big is covered with stardust Stickles and I doodled around the image and stitched the Lovely Lilac layer. Then I colored the Dotted background with markers and stamped onto Whisper White. I adhered this to the Ballet Blue card base which had already been stamped with Aida Cloth. I picked out some Doodlebug gingham ribbon and tied a bow around the card. The main image is mounted on dimensionals and I added scattered buttons onto the Dotted background. Thanks for looking!
