Paris Cupcake
Happy Cupcake Day! It seems like I look forward to Friday’s more and more each week! And this weekend is going to be a fun one!! Tomorrow I have an eye appointment and plan to pick out new frames. And then my friend Sam and I are going to what we call the “big” Joann’s. It’s a Joann’s Superstore and they have it all!
Then hopefully we will have some time to do some stamping and playing with my new Cuttlebug! This card is more elegant than my normal cutesy cupcake style. The Eiffel Tower cupcake image is by Rubber Soul. Big thanks to Louise Glynn for sending it to me! I colored the cupcake with Prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol and a stump. The Eiffel Tower is colored with silver paint pen. I doodled the swirly border around the image with a black journaler and spritzed the image with my color spritzer and a Perfect Plum marker. The colors are black, Perfect Plum, and Sage Shadow. I stamped French Script on the bottom half and Linen on the top half. The swirls in the corner are from a Making Memories foam stamp set that I got in a goodie box from the wonderfully talented Ellen Hutson. Thanks, Ellen! I highlighted portions of the swirls with silver paint pen. The little charm is cut out of chipboard and topped with Perfect Plum paper using the Cuttlebug Tiny Tags die. I stamped the “sweet” sentiment on the charm with my Karen Foster snap stamps. Hope you have a beautiful day and eat a cupcake if you have the chance! 🙂
