Honduras Fundraiser
I’d like to share a little bit about my sister Whitney. She’s a junior in college at Biola University in La Mirada, California. She’s 21 years old and pictured below in our family picture (the one with the black shirt and the blondish hair). I’m so proud of my sister because this winter she will be spending her Christmas break on a mission trip to Honduras through an organization called YFO – Youth for Orphans. And not only is she going on this mission trip, but she’s leading it as well! She has such a heart for the orphans in Honduras as well as those right here where we live. She started a club through Biola that participates in various service projects around the Southern California area and is also planning this mission trip. She has been working very hard doing bake sale fundraisers and sending support letters, but she’s still quite a bit short on her funding for the trip. My mom and I really want to help her reach her funding goal so my mom made these beaded Bible bookmarks to help raise funds for Whitney’s trip. I took a picture of the bookmark in my Bible as well so you can judge the length. There are different charms on each bookmark that you are hopefully able to see in the picture (click on the pic for a larger version). These would be a perfect gift for a Bible study group or a great stocking stuffer for any avid reader. I am offering them here for sale for $12 each. That will also include a thank you card from me for supporting her mission. I will ship them the day after you place your order so they will definitely arrive before Christmas. Please send me an email (link underneath my picture at the top) if you’re interested in purchasing a Bible bookmark and supporting my sister’s trip to Honduras. Please consider supporting her in prayer as well for safe travels and that she and others going on the trip may bless the orphans in Honduras and be blessed by them.
