$1 Cupcake Friday
Happy Cupcake Day!! I am on a roll with the $1 stamps! LOL! This is my second card using a dollar stamp in the last two days. This cute little cupcake stamp came in the mail from my good friend and fabulous stamper Emily Gunnell. And have I mentioned that she makes the most decadent cupcakes!? YUM! This little cupcake stamp comes from the $1 spot at Michael’s. It’s combined in a pack of two mini stamps for $1. The other stamp says Cutie Pie. It is soooo difficult for me to use these mini images. It’s not even funny how long I fussed with the image until I decided to go with this design. But, it’s always good to work outside your comfort zone and take on a little challenge every now and then. The card base is 4 1/4″ square. I embossed the heart background on Gable Green with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I got the heart ribbon at my LSS and I believe it’s by Carolee’s Creations. The circles were cut out using my Creative Memories circle cutting system. I stamped the cupcake randomly on the white circle and colored them in with markers. Then I covered the whole circle with Versamark and embossed it with Holographic Highlights EP. The “hey cupcake” sentiment is stamped on a mini tag cut out using my Cuttlebug. The ‘e’ is slightly cut off, so I think I may use the word window punch and redo it when I get home tonight.
I have some really exciting news…. GUESS WHAT!? I get to go to CHA this weekend in Anaheim!!!! Can you tell I’m pumped!?!? CHA is a humongous trade show with 3,500 booths of various craft items. I have a feeling I’ll be spending most of my time at the scrapbooking/papercrafting booths, but there is also fabric, needlecraft, digital imaging, art materials, framing, beading, and soooo much more! It’s a 4 day event and I’ll be attending 3 out of the 4 days. I’ll be sure to take lots of pictures and tell you all about the famous papercrafters that I meet! *wink*
