Monkey Bread!
I promised I would share a picture and recipe for the treat we made on Valentine’s Day. We absolutely love monkey bread and it never sticks around for very long! As I mentioned the other day, my mother-in-law is the Queen of Monkey Bread. My in-laws live in a college town. She got a roster from the school with the students’ room numbers and birthdays and she delivers them all a monkey bread for their birthday! I was a student there and that’s how I became addicted!! Now wipe the drool from your chin and go try it! 😉
INGREDIENTS
4 tubes of buttermilk biscuits
1 cup brown sugar
2 sticks of butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup white sugar
Mix white sugar and cinnamon together in a large ziploc bag. Cut each buttermilk biscuit into fourths and place in cinnamon/sugar bag. Toss until well coated. Remove biscuits from cinnamon sugar and place in a greased bundt pan. Bring brown sugar and butter to a boil and pour over the biscuits. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes. Let cool for 15 minutes and then flip the pan over to remove the monkey bread. Be careful… I always seem to burn myself trying to get it out!
