Bundle of Joy
Thanks to this post by Joan I decided to sit down and do some fun stamping just for me, despite all the other projects and deadlines screaming at me to do them. It was actually really relaxing and so much fun! Can I just say one more time how much I love this set!? I just want to take the little teddy bear and squeeze him right off the paper! The patterned paper is from the Crate Cowboy Collection. I used the slit punch to create the scallops and then stitched alongside them with white gel pen. I stamped the bear on watercolor paper with timber brown Staz On and watercolored it with an aquapainter. I sponged in the background with Bashful Blue ink, but I didn’t like that look so I ended up using the aquapainter over it. I really like how that turned out… it looks like he’s floating in the clouds. The card base is Close to Cocoa stamped with Aida Cloth. I used my Stampamajig to line up the words Bundle of Joy from the announcement stamp in the same set. The button brads are from Oriental Trading Company and the ribbon is from Cindy at StarlitStudio.
