Ruffled Bloom
When I sat down to create last night I decided to dig out some of the stuff that I have recently purchased but haven’t used. And I say “dig out” because I am the type that after I purchase something I must put it in its designated spot so that I can stay organized. You’re probably thinking… “Wow, that’s great!” but the thing is that most of my new stuff is quickly forgotten because it’s out of my sight. I’ve got cupboards and drawers full of alterable items, stamps, ink, ribbon, etc, etc. They’re all in their designated place, but they’re not being used. So I’m taking Michelle Wooderson’s advice and starting what she calls an “Inspiration Station”… a place out in the open to put new stamps, embellishments, and papers while ideas marinate. For this card I used the Stampendous Ruffled Bloom from Eclectic Paperie, the PaperTrey Green Thumb set for the leaves, Rhonna Farrer swirls in the background, and the PaperTrey Faux Ribbon set for the sentiment. I realized that many of the sentiments from this set will fit on the Cuttlebug Tiny Tags dies. I colored the flower with Prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol and a stump. The center and the ruffled parts of the flower are covered with Crystal Stickles. And a big thank you to my friend Pegi who sent me the beautiful ribbon and the Paper Salon Pristine 8×8 Pad. I love the soft, springy look of these colors… now if we could only get the weather to cooperate for those of you out East! Hope you’re able to stay warm today!
