Brooke’s Birthday Birdie
I made this card for my SIL for her birthday. The birdie image is by Anna Wight for Whipper Snapper. I absolutely love all the images that Anna has drawn for Whipper Snapper! I own several, but this is the first time I’ve inked one up. There’s just something about uninked rubbah that makes me want to leave it that way for as long as possible. I think something is wrong with me! LOL! I’m also trying to use up a whole sheet of 12×12 patterned paper before I move onto something else. I just have way too many scraps of paper and it’s starting to drive me nuts! So this is another one I made with the Magnolia Collection by My Mind’s Eye. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol and a stump. I added Stardust Stickles to the wings and beak and a Prima and rhinestone for the flower. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Paper Tray set. I used the horizontal slot punch to create a place for the ribbon to thread through. The ribbon is from one of the wooden spools at Michael’s. The background is stamped with the Paisley stamp from Stampin’ Up.
I taught a class at the scrapbook store last night and it went really well! Hello to any of the ladies who might be reading this! 🙂 For those of you who ordered a class kit from me, I plan to ship these out on Monday. But for now, I’m on to the next thing on my list of priorities… preparing for StampMania! I am soooo excited for this event… I can hardly wait!! I will make sure to take lots of pictures to show you all on Monday! Hope you have a great day!
