Classic Christmas
Thank you so much for all your suggestions with my desk issue! Now I have some very good ideas of where to find what I want! I am on a tight budget though so instead of an “overhaul” this will have to be a gradual process. Here’s hoping I find a desk this weekend! Today, I thought I’d let you all in on my first purchase. I’m ordering a custom-built piece from ScrapnCube! It will be the perfect storage solution for all of my loose wood-mounted stamps! It’s an 11 drawer rolling cart with each drawer 12″x12″ and 1.5″ deep. The cart will come unfinished so I can paint it to match my room and it’s made to slide right underneath a standard desktop! I’ll be sure to take a picture and give a little review when it arrives! But for now… on to the card details. These Classic Christmas stamps by Stampendous aren’t my usual style, but I do love a challenge so I decided to try them out in traditional colors and PEARLustre dusty gold embossing powder. I really love how this embossing powder is more muted than my other gold powders. The main sentiment and angel are embossed and the gold swirls on the card base are stamped in Encore Gold ink. The stamp set that includes the angel and the swirls is an acrylic set exclusive to Archiver’s so you’ll have to go there if you want to purchase it. The gold brads are Making Memories and I used the Tim Holtz Tonic Paper Distresser on the edges. For the other card, I cut out the sentiment, colored it with Copic marker and popped it up. The ribbon came from my local ribbon warehouse. Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
