MFT Countdown – Day 5
Today begins the countdown to the release of FIVE new stamp sets from My Favorite Things! This is a mini set titled How Sweet It Is. You can purchase it at My Favorite Things or Eclectic Paperie on October 1st. I have been so enamored with my Copic markers lately that I decided to bring out my neglected Prismacolor pencils for a change. I have missed my Prismas, stumps, and gamsol soooo much! Note to self: Do not neglect Prismas ever again! LOL! The patterned paper is Birthday Girl Polka Dots from the Tres Jolie Je T’aime Collection. Wow… that was a mouthful! The grosgrain ribbon is from one of my ribbon shares which I hope to do again soon! This card is for my younger sister who has been such an encouragement to me lately. Since my sisters are both younger, I figured I would always be the leader of the pack. But I’m finding as they both get older that I have a lot to learn from them as well. ((((HUGS)))) to my sistahs! 🙂 The second card was so quick and easy! It’s a 4.25″ square card base. I just stamped the sundae three times, colored them with Prismas, and cut out with my scalloped scissors. It was a little tricky to cut around the sentiment with scalloped scissors, but I think it worked! The patterned paper reminded me of sherbet… perfect for a sweet sundae card. Tune in tomorrow for more new releases from My Favorite Things!
