Happy New Year’s Eve Day!
Jon and I reflected on 2007 last night. It was our time to sit down, be quiet, and reflect on all the ways we’ve been blessed, how we’ve changed, what we’ve accomplished, and what we hope to accomplish in 2008. Personally, I have a tendency to rush from one year to the next… always looking ahead and forgetting to reflect on the past. It was truly awe-inspiring as we reflected on the changes from 2007 knowing that God orchestrated these changes in us, for us, and through us. I set a few New Year’s Goals for 2008 and I got a head start on one of my goals yesterday! I’ll share more about that with you tomorrow. But for now, I have a couple more cards to end 2007. Now that Christmas has passed it’s time to move on to Valentine’s Day! This is one of my favorite card-making holidays! I made these two cards for Stampendous using their new line of Valentine stamps. You can check out the rest of the collection and purchase the Valentine stamps here. I colored the Changito Love Balloon image with Prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol and a stump. The balloon is paper pieced with patterned paper from Cloud 9 Design. The heart background image is from the Amore Brackets acrylic set. The Be Mine sentiment is from the Love Messages acrylic set. The cheeky clip is Making Memories and the ribbon is American Crafts. On the second card I used some shimmery heart paper from KI Memories along with the Love You sentiment and love circle word. Both of these stamps are exclusive to Archiver’s so you’ll have to head there to purchase them. Again, the cheeky clip is Making Memories and the ribbon is American Crafts. Jon and I are hosting a Wii New Year’s Eve party tonight so we can play some of our new games! I’m making a few appetizers along with the traditional champagne toast at midnight. Tomorrow we’re going to the Rose parade and then heading over to the Rose Bowl game to see if we can get some tickets for USC vs. Illinois! I’ll make sure to take lots of pictures again this year. The floats always seem bigger and better than the previous year…. so fun! I hope you all have a safe and happy New Year’s Eve! See you in 2008!
