Rose Parade Pictures

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! We had such a fun time at our Wii party last night, but when the alarm went off this morning I was soooo not ready to get up! We didn’t want to miss the parade though and Jon bribed me to get out of bed by offering to stop by one of my favorite donut shops along the way. Need I say more!? *wink* Here are a few pictures from the parade:

All of the floats were so well-designed and colorful…the Indian float was absolutely amazing! It had to be at least 50 feet tall! I’m sure it won an important award from the Rose Parade judging committee, but I’m also giving it Taylor’s Top Float award this year! LOL! We were both really tired afterwards so we decided to go home and watch the Rose Bowl Game on TV instead of at the stadium. I hope you all had a wonderful New Year’s Day! See you tomorrow for more on one of my New Year’s Resolutions… getting organized!

You actually got to see the parade live?! I am so jealous!! We watched it on TV with snow falling heavily, it looked so beautiful! Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year!

Great pics!! I used to live right off Huntington Blvd, and every year we would watch the floats go to their destination late at night. It was a fun time!!

Thanks for posting these fantastic pictures! I was unable to watch the parade today because the Badgers were playing in the Outback Bowl at the same time and I gotta go with the hometown team ya know! Sadly, though, they lost. :o(

Happy New Year! I watched the parade on HDTV and it looked like it was a beautiful warm day. Somehow I missed the Egypt float, though. My fave was the car that had flames shooting out the back.
Any ideas for reorganizing? I’m in the process of trying to streamline my stamping space. See my blog for details and leave some suggestions!

That is so very cool that you live right in Pasadena and can just roll out of bed and head to the parade! It must be amazing to see in person! Thanks for sharing the picts! Happy New Year Taylor!!

hi Taylor!
it WAS 50′ tall – I recall the commentators talking about that float! it was amazin’ seeing the marchers making the turn where the cameras were set up – SUCH nice straight lines. I was in a drill team as a kid in high school and can recall our stressing about the turns! brings back memories …
