Back to Life…
Back to reality… Back to the here and now. These En Vogue lyrics have been going through my head all morning! Today I must get back to life… back to reality. Thank you all for your concerned emails about my lack of posting yet this week! So sorry for worrying you! We had a wonderful time at Del Mar beach last weekend. The house we were staying at was literally on the beach! We just walked out the back door and we could see the ocean and hear the roar of the tide coming in. It was so peaceful and relaxing! I was able to take Monday and Tuesday off from my full-time job to work on a very important project with my mom. I’m dying to share details with you, but I have to be a little patient on this one. So that’s what I’ve been up to! While I was living in my fantasy world, PaperTrey released some awesome new stamp sets! These are two of the projects I created for the release. For the sympathy card I inked the pot from Green Thumb in Versamagic Gingerbread ink and rolled the edges in Versamagic Jumbo Java for more depth. Then I masked the pot to stamp the branches coming out of it. The white dots were easy to add because of the way Nichole designed the set. Then I just used the single grouping of dots to stamp additional flowers on the branches. I used white fun flock on some of the dots for a whispy look and feel. The background is Mellow Moss stamped with the Dotted Diamonds backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms. The sentiment is stamped on Cryogen White cardstock and punched out with the large Stampin’ Up oval punch. I also used Out on a Limb for the second card. I stamped the branch in VersaMagic Jumbo Java, the flowers in Colorbox Rose Coral, and the leaves in Stampin’ Up Certainly Celery. I used a shade darker marker to highlight portions of the leaves and the butterfly centers. The flower centers are embellished with pearls. I sponged around the outside of the image and used the ticket corner punch to allow space for the brads. The larger butterflies are from the Butterfly Kisses set. The larger two are cut out and covered with Crystal Stickles. The patterned paper is Chatterbox Cottage Rosy Lilac. Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a wonderful day and I’ll be back tomorrow… promise! 😉
