Gina K Bright Birthdays
OK… I just need to start today by shouting WHERE DID JANUARY GO!?!? Can you believe it’s February tomorrow? The older I get the faster life seems to fly by! Now that I’ve got that off my chest…good morning! 🙂 These are a couple more cards I made with Gina K’s How Sweet It Is set. For each set sold, Gina will donate $7.00 to benefit the American Diabetes Association and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. You can read more about it here. This set has endless possibilities! For the first card I drew my color inspiration from the Heidi Grace It’s My Party patterned paper. I used Stampin’ Up All in a Row to stamp the turquoise stitches around each layer (sewing machines are still not my friend!). The image is colored with Copic markers and the frosting is covered with white liquid applique. The “celebrate” sentiment is from Stampin’ Up Everyday Flexible Phrases and I found the blue gingham somewhere in my stash of ribbon. On the inside of the card I used Gina K’s sentiment “Hope your birthday is as sweet as you are!” I drew color inspiration for the second card from the Crate Paper Carnival Collection and I used a sketch from The Joy of Cardmaking magazine. I stamped the image in Palette Noir ink and then masked it off to add the spoon inside the dish. The image is colored with Copic markers. I’m not really sure what orange colored ice cream would be good with chocolate topping, but I was trying to match the patterned paper! The card base is stamped with Stampin’ Up Print Pattern and the sentiment is from PaperTrey’s Faux Ribbon set. I found the ribbon in my stash again… not really sure where it came from. Thanks for stopping by today! Stay tuned tomorrow for Cupcake Friday and another cupcake challenge!
