Birth Announcements
Do you remember this post where I showed you the baby gift that I made for our friends Jason and Carolyn to congratulate them on the birth of their twins? They also asked me to make birth announcements to send out to their friends and family. I love the Piggy Tales paper so I used it again on the announcements. The finished size is a 5″ x 7″ folding card. I decided on this size for a few reasons… 1) They want to be able to include a 4″ x 6″ picture inside. 2) It is the perfect size for framing as a momento. 3) I had envelopes in my collection that will fit the cards (that was the most important requirement!). on the announcement is Wendy LP and the images are from Stampin’ Up By Ones and By Twos. I stamped the sailboat in Palette Noir and colored it with Copic markers. The I punched it out with the 3/4″ circle punch and matted it on the 1″ circle punch. Inside the front cover I used clear photo corners to hold whatever photo they choose to send with the announcement. It shouldn’t be too tough to find a good photo… these boys are adorable! I first stamped the onesie image onto the patterned paper. Then I stamped them onto green and orange cardstock, cut them out, and adhered them over the patterned image. The sentiment is punched out with the EK Success dog tag punch. I used snap stamps for the monogram on each onesie. The ribbon is May Arts from StarLitStudio. Thanks for stopping by today!
