Cupcake Challenge #13
Happy Friday and Happy Cupcake Day! Whenever I’m stumped creatively I always head straight to my favorite color combination and see what happens. I love pairing different shades of pink and green together. I used a pink 4-bar polka dot notecard from A Muse and a Wild Wasabi card base for this card. The cupcake image is also from A Muse. I stamped it in Palette Noir, colored the frosting with Stardust Gelly Roll pen, and added pink adhesive pearls for the cherries. I didn’t want the card to appear too “busy” so I left the rest of the cupcake uncolored. I punched out the cupcakes with the 1 1/4″ circle punch and layered them on the 1 3/8″ circle punch. The center cupcake is popped up on foam tape. The ribbon is a sparkly pink that I picked up at Michael’s a while back and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink’s It’s A Celebration set. I thought this sketch would be the perfect way to use some smaller images! So here’s the challenge… use the sketch below to create a
card. You’re not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got ’em why not use ’em!? ๐ If you’re uploading to Splitcoast use keyword TECC13 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 13). Leave a comment on this post with a link to your blog post or gallery upload so I can check it out! I will draw one random entry from among all the participants to win
the two wood-mounted stamps pictured above (Stem Pattern & Circle Dot Pattern) from Impress Rubber Stamps! You must have your cards uploaded by Monday, April 28th at 8am PST to be eligible for the prize drawing. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Jon and I are going to be relaxing, dog-walking (we’re dog sitting for our neighbor’s three adorable dogs), and soaking up the sun! It’s supposed to be a beautiful weekend and considering the fact that I live where the sun shines for most of the year, my tan could use some improvement. LOL! Thanks for stopping by today!
