Cupcake Challenge #16
Happy Friday and Happy Cupcake Day! I’m looking forward to a relaxing weekend and hope to find some time to work ahead on scheduling blog posts and getting ready for the release of the first Taylored Kit on Tuesday! Today’s cupcake card would be perfect for any little boy in your life. I rarely tear my layers anymore so I thought it would be something different (at least for me!) to incorporate it into the sketch this week. The cupcake is from Birthday Cupcake stamp set by Inkadinkadoo. I decided to dust off my Prismacolor pencils and gamsol to color the image. I still love to use my pencils! The patterned paper is from My Mind’s Eye and the cardstock is Prism Papers. The ‘it’s your day’ sentiment stamped around the outside is from Papertrey’s It’s A Celebration set. The finished card is 5″ square. Now it’s your turn to try the sketch! You’re not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got ’em why not use ’em!? 🙂 I put polka dots on the sketch just to signify patterned paper, but you’re not required to use polka dots specifically. I always get the question “Can I make something other than a card?” Of course! Just stick as closely to the sketch as possible and you’ll be eligible for the prize drawing! If you’re uploading to Splitcoast use keyword TECC16 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 16). Leave a comment on this post with a link to your blog post or gallery upload so I can check it out! I will draw one random entry from among all the participants to receive a package of fun alterables including chipboard coasters, blank chipboard shapes, chipboard clipboards (that’s a mouthful!), and other goodies! You must have your cards uploaded by Monday, May 19th at 8am PST to be eligible for the prize drawing. I can’t wait to see what you come up with! Next week I’ll have a fun Cupcake Friday announcement and details about how you can become the featured cupcake sketch sampler on my blog! Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you all have a wonderful day!
