Relax… It’s Your Day!
Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! We enjoyed our time in Santa Barbara, although the weather didn’t cooperate enough to lay out by the pool or go to the beach. *sad face* So I didn’t get to work on my tan, but we did get to see a couple movies, do some shopping, and enjoy dinner at some new restaurants. Have any of you heard of the singing group Young at Heart? While we were in Santa Barbara we went to a documentary film that followed this singing group over a seven week period of time as they prepared for their next show. What’s so special about this group? Their ages average 80 with the oldest member being 92! They tour the world singing their version of popular rock songs… yes… ROCK songs! I laughed and cried during the movie, and ultimately I came away with a new perspective on growing old. Which is good since my next birthday is in just a couple weeks. LOL! It is a small film so it’s not showing nationally, but if it’s showing in a theatre near you, I would highly recommend seeing the movie. I also enjoyed checking out all of your sketch challenge creations! Thank you to everyone who participated! I used Cosmo Cricket Little Girl patterned paper and Prism cardstocks. The bubbles and water puddle are covered with Crystal Effects.
