Happy Birthday, Friend
Let me tell you something about me… I hate the dentist! I hate the sterile smell, the drilling sound, a painful mouth. It takes me weeks to talk myself into making an appointment for a cleaning, but I always keep up with my six month checkups. Last night I broke half a tooth off while eating dinner. And since I just told you how much I hate the dentist, it wasn’t easy to make an appointment today. I’m hoping for the best (a little patch-up), but expecting the worst (a crown or root canal). So think of me today as I’m cringing in the dentist’s chair. *sad face* On another happier note… today is Joy’s birthday! You all know Joy, right!? If not, let me introduce you… Joy is one of the most kind-hearted, generous, and thoughtful people I know. She is part-owner of Eclectic Paperie and writes her blog at JoyOfStamping. Above all, she knows how to be a friend…a good friend. And I feel lucky to call her my friend. Happy Birthday, Joy! I made this card for Joy last night. The image is from the Stampin’ Up Oh, So Lovely hostess set that has since been retired. I colored two sets of the image with Copic markers, cut one set out, and popped up the flowers with foam tape. The background is stamped with a Rhonna Farrer swirl set that I picked up a Target. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Verve Visual stamp set Fancy Florals and the Friend sentiment (which matches so well!) is from the Papertrey Ink set Women of Life. I found the satin ribbon somewhere in my stash. Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you all have a wonderful day!
