I have lots of new Inque stamp sets to play with and one of the first things I do when I get new stamps is look for things I can create that are different from the intended use of the set. When I looked at my 
Petals stamp set there was one petal in particular that looked like a surfboard. So I created this beachy scene with that flower petal. I used Kraft cardstock and Stampendous Golden Sand embossing powder for the ground. The surfboards are cut from My Mind’s Eye patterned papers. I cut a slit in the sand with an Xacto knife and slid the bottom of the board into the sand. I added Crystal Stickles to each of the boards as well. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things. The second card also uses Petals, but more for its intended use. I had a little scrap of Chatterbox Happy Day paper on my desk so instead of tossing it in the garbage I structured my layout around the size of the scrap. The flower petals are colored with Copic marker and I added a big Bella Dot to the middle of the flower. The sentiment is from Papertrey’s anniversary set Simple Little Things.
