Sunshine Get Well Soon
Yesterday was a bit of a traumatic day. Not in a traumatic-sad sort of way, but more in a traumatic-silly sort of way… if you know what I mean. Jon and I decided to take our big, fluffy, black cat (Morris) to get “groomed.” Jon went back to pick him up in the afternoon and he was completely shaved (except for his face, four paws, and a little tuft on his tail)!! Perhaps this was the wrong assumption on my part, but I thought “grooming” would include clipping his nails and trimming his hair. Even though he’s a male cat, I half-expected him to come home with a pretty little bow in his hair…. not no hair at all! He’s not quite sure what to think of himself and our other cat thinks we brought home some alien animal so now they’re constantly fighting. Does anyone know how quickly the hair will grow back? I’m hoping it grows fast… I want my fluffball back! Anyhow… I needed some Get Well cards for the website so I sat down over the weekend and created a few of these bright and cheerful cards with this cute image from Stamping Bella. I colored the image with Copic markers and added Crystal Stickles to parts of it. The turquoise panel is stamped with the Daisy Chain Scrapblock from Cornish Heritage Farms and the patterned paper is from the For Peep’s Sake Collection by Imaginisce. I used the Fiskars threading water punch for the scalloped border.
I have one more announcement to make today! I’m sure you all know that this Saturday is World Card Making Day! What will you be doing? I want to give you advance notice of the sale I’ll be having on Saturday at Taylored Expressions! I’ll be highlighting several products on my blog that will be on sale throughout the weekend. But, that’s not all! Some of you have noticed the newsletter subscription widget on the homepage of the store and have already signed up. The very first installment of the TE newsletter will be going out on Saturday with an additional coupon code for those of you who are signed up to receive it. How do you sign up to receive the newsletter? Click here and you’ll see “Join our Mailing List” on the left hand side of the page. Just enter your email address and click go. Follow the instructions from there and you’re all set!
That’s about it from me today! Thanks for stopping by… hope you all have a wonderful day!
