Good morning! Happy Friday and Happy Cupcake Day! Whew… it’s finally Friday! I feel like I packed a month worth of work into this week as we issued our quarterly trust reports at my full-time job and I continue to prepare for the next TE stamp release happening next Friday, October 24th! The first image sneak peek will be going out in the TE newsletter tonight. There’s still time to sign up to receive the newsletter if you want to be among the first to see a little peek of the new images! Just
click here and enter your email address in the “Join Our Mailing List” box in the sidebar. For today’s sketch challenge, I want you to get creative and tell me what your stamps are really saying (or thinking)! I searched through all my stamps and came up with lots of silly sentiments, but finally settled on using my
Stampendous Ollie Pirate stamp. I colored Ollie with Copic markers and added the mini Stampin’ Up cupcake to the poor mouse’s ship. His very last cupcake is being confiscated by pirates! lol. I also added
Glossy Accents over the water and
Crackle Accents on the sails of each ship. The patterned paper is from the new
Crate Paper Lemon Grass Collection. I used the Weave backgrounder from
Cornish Heritage Farms. The Arrrr is from the
TE Trick or Sweet set and the rest of the sentiment was typed up on the computer. The
pumpkin twill is from the store also. Now let me introduce you to the Featured Cupcake Sampler this week! Check out
the adorable card she created last week and you’ll know what I mean when I say this girl has skillz! ๐ Her blog,
Wild Sprinkles, is filled with delicious eye candy. Her kitty cupcake card left me chuckling this week… isn’t it cute!? You can check out all the details on her challenge sample
here. Thanks so much for sampling the sketch this week, Tori! Now it’s your turn to to try the sketch! I’ll choose the most clever, creative, and cute creation from the submissions this weekend to be the Featured Cupcake Sampler next

week. Your design and blog will be
featured
on my blog during Cupcake
Friday.
You’re not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got ’em why not use ’em!? You’re
welcome to create something other than a card, just stick as
closely
to the sketch as possible and you’ll be
eligible
for the Featured Cupcake Sampler honors. If
you’re uploading to Splitcoast use
keyword
TECC38 (for
Taylored
Expressions
Cupcake C
hallenge 38). Leave a comment on this post with a link to your
blog
post or gallery upload so I can check it out! You must have your cards uploaded by Monday, October 20th at 8am PST to be eligible for the featured cupcake sampler. I can’t wait to see what you come up with! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
And you definitely don’t want to miss the wonderful inspiration from the Cupcake Crew this week!
