JustRite Chique Stamper Punch Comparison
Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Are you ready for the release of new cupcake stamps at TE? I’ll be posting another image sneak peek tomorrow with project peeks starting on Wednesday from myself and the rest of the Baker’s Dozen Design Team! First things first today… have you been over to the SASI blog to check out the first SASI Sweet Treats giveaway? You can check out the goodies here and sign up to win! The winner will be announced on the SASI blog on release night (Thursday) so there still plenty of time to enter the drawing! Today I wanted to take a little time to share with you some of the discoveries I’ve made using the new JustRite Chique Self-Inking Stamper. First of all, do you remember the video I made to show you how to use the JustRite Sonnet Stamper? You can still view it here if you haven’t seen it. The Chique stamper works in exactly the same way… the only difference is the cool new oval shape. The first thing I wanted to test with this new stamper is which punches and dies
would cut it out best. I don’t own every oval punch/die ever made, but I was able to make some good comparisons with what I do have. I started with the Marvy Mega Scalloped Oval Punch. It leaves a nice scalloped border around the stamped image. Then I tried the Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Oval (Large) die which also fit nicely. The classic oval (in purple) can also layer onto my next test, the Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Oval (Large) die (in yellow). The Spellbinders Scalloped Oval die left a slightly larger border than the Marvy Mega Scalloped Oval Punch, but still fits nicely with the Chique Stamper image. You can see the
side-by-side comparison of each of these options below (click to make it bigger). For those of you who subscribe to the TE newsletter, you’ve already seen the monogrammed notecard project I created with the Chique Stamper. It is super quick and easy and monogrammed stationery always makes a great Christmas gift. I’ve found that even people who don’t stamp fall in love with the Self-Inking Stampers because they’re so practical and easy to use making them a perfect gift as well. I started by embossing the Large Classic Oval (above in purple) into the white layer and stamping the oval image inside. It’s hard to
see in the picture, but the embossed layer really highlights the monogram image. Then I used my Fingertip Craft Knife to cut a slit in each side of the embossed oval and threaded ribbon through. I added a couple of my favorite Plum Pearls and a scalloped border and it was finished! The four-card set took just 15 minutes from start to finish! Now I’m going to explain a little bit more about the Chique Stamper kit. For those of you who feel a little confused about the new products then keep reading. If you feel you know the Chique Stamper well, then this
is where the post ends for you. ๐ The Chique Stamper Kit comes with the complete Brayton Font set (3 different sizes of font plus numbers and symbols in a stackable storage case), one reversible ink pad, and four designer borders & centers… a great value at $42.50. The Birthday Stamp Ensemble also coordinates with
the Chique Stamper for even more border and center options. In addition to the Brayton Font, the Chique Stamper will also work with any of the other JustRite fonts that you have already purchased (Times New Roman, Curlz, Special Occasions, and Trompe). Additional oval shaped dry ink pads can also be purchased and inked any of the reinkers you currently own. The Chique Stamper does not coordinate with the Small Letter Set. You can find all of the JustRite items at Taylored Expressions. Whew… that was a long post for a Monday morning! Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a wonderful day!
