Bless your Little Hearth
I’m sure you all have those moments when you’re just tickled with yourself, right? The whole time I was creating this card I was just tickled with the idea to create my own bricks for this image. The Stampendous Bless Your Hearth image is so cute, but I felt like I was missing part of the image… the rest of the fireplace! So I cut small rectangles out of Riding Hood Red cardstock, sponged around each one with Close to Cocoa Ink, and fitted them around the image. I used the Copic E07 – Light Mahogany marker to fill in small bricks and places I couldn’t cut around. Yes… it took forever, but I love the result! I colored the back and bottom of the fireplace and the ground around it with W-1, W-3, and W-5 Copic markers. The background was stamped with Stampin’ Up Aida Cloth and also sponged with Close to Cocoa ink. If you check out my creations very often, you know that I’m not really the sponging type, but it was fun to get out my daubers again. ๐ I added some silver brads and black polka dot grosgrain to finish it off. The card was pretty simple once the image was finished. Needless to say, I won’t be mass-producing these for Christmas, but it sure was fun to try just once. Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a wonderful day!
