Happy Friday and Happy Cupcake Day! This week has gone by so quickly! I know this probably sounds lame, but Jon and I try not to make any plans on Friday nights. We’re both so tired from a long week so we usually go out to eat and then head home where I lay on the couch and watch Wife Swap and Super Nanny. *grin* It’s a favorite Friday tradition!Do you have one? Last night I sat down with the sketch and my Whipper Snapper Truffles image (I decided to pretend they’re cupcakes). I colored the truffles with Copic markers and highlighted them with Crystal Stickles. I used the front and reverse sides of the
Chatty Cake
patterned paper from the
Imaginisce All Kinds of Happy Collection. I added some American Crafts ribbon, the Fiskars threading water punch border, and
Chocolate Candy Dots to the corners. The sentiment is from the
Sweet Celebration set. I also decided to decorate the inside of the card by stamping a border of truffles along the bottom and using the “eat something cute” sentiment also from the
Sweet Celebration set. I’m so excited to introduce you to the Featured Cupcake Sampler this week! When Dawn Easton (a.k.a.
TreasureOiler and Dirty Girl extraordinaire) shares her beautiful cupcake sketch challenge creations they always catch my eye! You can see the great masculine

card she created for last week’s challenge
here. For today’s sketch she decided to use her new SASI stamps to make this adorable Christmas card! I just love the piercing detail she added to the scalloped border and I *must* remember to get myself some of that wonderful taffeta ribbon! Dawn created not just one, but two adorable sketch challenge samples! You can see both of the samples and read all of the details on her blog:
Treasure Oiler Designs. Thanks so much for sampling the sketch this week, Dawn! Now it’s your turn to to try the sketch! I’ll choose the most clever, creative, and cute creation from the submissions
this weekend to be the Featured Cupcake Sampler next week. Your design and blog will be featured on my blog during Cupcake Friday.
You’re not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got ’em why not use ’em!? You’re welcome to create something other than a card, just stick as closely to the sketch as possible and you’ll be eligible for the Featured Cupcake Sampler honors. If you’re uploading to Splitcoast use keyword TECC41 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 41). Leave a comment on this post with a link to your blog post

or gallery upload so I can check it out! You must have your cards uploaded by Monday, November 10th at 8am PST to be eligible for the featured cupcake sampler. If you’re interested in more cupcakes today, stop by the
SASI blog and check out Our Friday Friend this week. She’s sharing her favorite fudge recipe and you won’t want to miss it! Also learn how you can become our next Friday Friend on the
SASI blog! I can’t wait to see what you come up with for the sketch! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
And you definitely don’t want to miss the wonderful inspiration from the Cupcake Crew this week!
