Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks – Day 1
As I told you yesterday, Taylored Expressions is “Branching Out”, but in more ways than one! Don’t worry cupcake fans, we will continue to bring you the sweets you crave with sneak peeks coming tomorrow. We’re simply expanding our horizons and I’ve been so excited to tell you all about it!
º We have a Brand New collection of stamps – Whimsical Wishes! This fun new style is the result of a creative collaboration between myself and a very talented graphic designer, Nancy McKinney.
More about the TE Giving Tree
Branching Out and Branching Out Coordinates were designed with a specific charity in mind – Eden Projects. The Mission Statement of Eden Projects is to recreate healthy forest systems that restore hope, alleviate suffering, empower people, and build local economies in impoverished communities. They currently have active projects in Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar and Sudan. You can read more about their much needed and very effective work by visiting their website https://www.edenprojects.org/. My husband, Jon, was able to meet with the founder of Eden Projects last year as our church was looking for an organization to partner with and support. We were both moved to hear the stories of such basic needs being met through the planting of trees! Our home church has been supporting Eden Projects for almost a year now and I’ve been looking for a way that Taylored Expressions can support this charity as well and others like it.
And so the TE Giving Tree was born! Beginning with our March 5th release we will be releasing a charitable stamp set each quarter. We have a very fun and easy way for you to join us in supporting this organization and the incredible work they are doing – simply by purchasing Branching Out and Branching Out Coordinates. For each Branching Out stamp set sold over the next three months, Taylored Expressions will donate $7.00 to Eden Projects. And for each Branching Out Coordinates stamp set sold over the next three months, Taylored Expressions will donate $4.00 to Eden Projects If you purchase both sets we’ll donate a total of $11.00 to help Eden Projects with their mission. We hope you’ll join us in supporting this relief effort of hope!
More about Branching Out and Branching Out Coordinates
These two new stamp sets are the same deeply etched pink rubber on EZ Mount cling cushion that you love, with just one small difference. Rather than coming to you pre-trimmed and ready to go, these two sets come in sheet form that you will need to trim out. This was done to save on manufacturing costs, allowing us to maximize the amount we’re able to donate to Eden Projects. We felt it would be worth the little bit of extra effort and we hope you’ll agree. You will continue to receive the same full color index on the sturdy storage panels you love! Branching Out includes 20 images and comes on a full size panel (5.5” x 8.5”) for $21.95. Branching Out Coordinates is a mini set with 18 images on a CD size panel for $12.95.
Both of these sets will be available for purchase on Thursday, March 5th at 8AM PST, but first the Baker’s Dozen has some sneak peeks to show you using Branching Out & Branching Out Coordinates! These two sets are so versatile and I’m looking forward to doing the blog hop to see what the rest of the ladies have come up with! I started by stamping the images with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. There are all kinds of “trimmings” you can add to the tree. It was a tough decision, but I settled on the tire swing, squirrel, and bird for my first card. I added a touch of Lime Green Stickles to the leaves and some Espresso Dimensional Pearls to the tree trunk. I used patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket’s Mr. Campy collection. The ‘outdoorsey’ colors seemed to fit the whimsical tree image perfectly. I added tied some 5/8″ Moss Grosgrain and Celery Swiss Dot satin ribbon around the card and tied my ‘thank you’ tag to it. I couldn’t stop with just one card so I pulled out the single branch and stamped it in the same Rich Cocoa ink. I added the owl and the cloud and colored all of the images with Copic markers. I tied a combo of Celery Swiss Dot ribbon and Caribbean satin ribbon through the image. I punched out the sentiment with Stampin’ Up’s large oval punch, sponged around the outside, and popped it up with foam tape. The patterned paper is from Scenic Route. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Make sure you stop by the rest of the Baker’s Dozen blogs to check out what they cooked up for the sneak peek!
