Today it’s time for another Divine Design Challenge with my fellow Scripture Chicks: Nancy, Angel, Lori, and Jami. These women inspire me each month with their love for the Lord and their beautiful creations so make sure you stop by their blogs to be inspired today as well! I also hope that you’ll join us in sharing a verse that has meaning for you. There are very few rules to this challenge, but you can read all of them on this thread at Splitcoaststampers.
You know how sometimes God feels far away? Lately I’ve been feeling this way, but I take hope in His promise, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.” I also find myself listening to one of my favorite songs. The song is called Psalm 13 by
Shane and Shane. If you’re not familiar with it, you can listen to it
here on YouTube. The song is based on the thirteenth Psalm and it’s a true message of hope. The first verses say
“How long Lord will you forget me? How long will you hide your face from me?”, but the Psalm (and song) ends with the verses I chose for my creation today:
“But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, for he has been good to me.”
So whether He feels near or far I will continue to trust in his unfailing love and I’m gonna keep on singin’ my song! You can stop there if you want or you can keep on reading for some of the details on my card:
The verse for the card was computer generated and printed onto
Choice Buttercream cardstock. The cardstock and patterned paper I used are part of the
August 20th Key Ingredients kit. I was also super excited to use some of the new products that just arrived from the orders we placed at CHA. The brown vine climbing up the side is a piece of lasercut chipboard from the
Retro Vine collection. First, I misted it with
Brown Maya Mist and then added a layer of
Copper Maya Mist over the top. The
Blush Denim Flowers I used won the most innovative new product at the Summer CHA show. They come in 3 colors of denim and 6 colors of corduroy and they’re super fun for papercrafting and fabric projects. You can check out all of our new Buzz and Bloom products
here. Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you all have a wonderful day!
