TESC96 – Birthday Wishes
Happy New Year! I can hardly believe another year has passed! Unfortunately, I wasn’t completely able to escape the illness that Jon came down with on Christmas Day, but I’m pretty sure I avoided the worst of it (at least I hope!). My stomach felt “off” on Wednesday, but by yesterday I was feeling alright again…just a little one day bug. I certainly wish I could have been here posting on my blog instead of feeling icky! I have so many fun things to share that I can hardly contain myself. Just one little announcement before I get into my card details:

Now back to my card details! We just recently got the new Basic Grey Sugar Rush 6×6 pad and the coordinating embellishments in the store so I knew I wanted to use them on my card today. I just couldn’t resist the Woolies…seriously, how cute are they!? They’re self adhesive so I just stuck the flower to my image panel, stamped the sentiment (from Beary Special), and added the rhinestone heart detail with Tiny Twinkles. You can barely see this (because red on red stamping is so hard to pick up in a photo), but I masked off a circle, stamped the inside with polka dots and added faux stitches with a white gel pen. I thought the card needed a little more interest so I also used my Corner Chomper on the top corners of the card base and the image panel. Then I just finished it off with some lavender polka dot ribbon.
