Introducing Stamps A La Carte & Animals in Love!
Today the Baker’s Dozen and I are excited to share another new development at Taylored Expressions – Stamps A la Carte! We’re now offering you stamps in single servings to satisfy your creative sweet tooth! These stamps are made from the same top quality, deeply etched pink rubber and they come mounted on cling cushion and pre-cut so they’re ready to use the instant they arrive on your doorstep!
For our February release we have 8 irresistible Whimsical Wishes stamps in the theme “Animals in Love”! Illustrator, Nancy McKinney, knocked our socks off with these adorable images and I just know you’re going to love all of them! Today the Baker’s Dozen and I are sharing our sneak peeks with a few of our favorite animals.
The first image Nancy created within this theme were these adorable Scottie dogs and it has become my favorite image of the bunch. I’m not sure if that’s because it was the *first* one or if I just have some great love for Scottie dogs. I’ve actually never owned or even met a Scottie dog, but they’re just adorable! I started by paper piecing the dog house with patterned paper from the Cosmo Cricket Lil’ Man collection. I colored the roof and dogs with Copic markers, cut the image out with Spellbinders classic square die and layered onto the Spellbinders scalloped square die. One of my favorite ways to embellish the square dies is by using the Stub cut on my Corner Chomper in each corner and sticking a brad in there. We also have a great sentiment set to coordinate with the Animals In Love images. I used the ‘smooches’ and line of hearts from the Animal Love Sentiments set to finish off the bottom of my card. I couldn’t stop with just one card because I wanted to show you another one of the adorable animals! It was tough to choose, but I was in a paper piecing mood and the hearts on the elephant image were begging to be paper pieced! I used the same patterned papers from the Cosmo Cricket Lil’ Man collection and cut each heart from a different pattern. After adhering them all to the image I added Crystal Stickles onto the red hearts. I added a red saddle stitch bow with a leather flower embellishment (that I picked up at Target eons ago!). I also used some photo corners to define the image and popped up the entire panel with foam tape. The cardstock colors I used are Blush Red Dark, Choice Buttercream, and Intense Teal.
That’s all for my sneak peeks today! Only one more day until the big release…tune in tomorrow at 8am PST when everything will be available in the TE Store!
