More Egg-citing Sneak Peeks
It’s time for another egg-citing day of Taylored Expressions sneak peeks! *grin* All of the stamp sets and accessories that we’ve been sharing will be available for purchase tomorrow at 8am PST! We’re also excited to be celebrating one year of Whimsical Wishes stamps with our talented illustrator Nancy McKinney! Nancy had a hand in all three of the sets we’re releasing this month and I am just thrilled with how they turned out! We’ll be partying tomorrow with a special Whimsical Wishes gift and discounts for you, our wonderful customers!
But first, I want to show you some more sneak peeks! Ever since we began the Lasting Impressions collection, I’ve been looking forward to creating a beautiful Easter set to capture the meaning of Easter. The reminder of everlasting love and forgiveness of sin that was conquered on the cross fills me with such gratitude. And so I’m proud to introduce Easter Blessings. There are two beautiful, bold crosses in this set and I decided to use one as the focal image for my card. I stamped it in Wisteria chalk ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I noticed the patterned paper resembled my Arabesque template so I laid the template over the top of the embossed image and spritzed it with Lime Metallic Maya Mist. Love how that turned out! I also spritzed a Spellbinders tag and stamped the sentiment on top. The patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Kioshi collection and part of our Easter Key Ingredients. I also used the lattice border punch and pastel pearl brads along with bay blue twill and dark purple glimmer ribbon to finish off the card.
We couldn’t stop there so Nancy captured the sweetness of spring with more cuddly creatures and *egg*cellent eggs in our Favorite Peeps set. (OK… I’ll stop with the lame ‘egg’ puns now!) I colored each of the images with Copics, created a mask for the image, and used a cloud template to sponge the sky behind each image. I cut out the large scalloped square and embossed the classic square inside. Then I highlighted the embossed frame by coloring it with white gel pen. I finished the card off with some pink double loop trim. The cardstock is from the Easter Key Ingredients. Now that we’re back in Iowa I have two sweet nephews nearby and I thought it would be fun to get started on some treats for their Easter baskets. Grant and Tyson are always sneaking M&M’s so I think they’ll be excited about these treat bottles! I filled the Potion Bottles with the spring M&M mix and used my favorite image from the set to decorate the bottles. We have the most adorable Nestie-friendly egg in this set! It coordinates perfectly with new Spellbinders Nested Egg die. This is a limited time die so you’ll want to snatch one up quickly! Nancy has also designed an entire Eggstra Special image sheet filled with beautiful Nestie-friendly eggs as an additional coordinating item! I stamped this egg onto solid cardstock and punched out the center of the egg with a 1 3/4″ circle punch and then adhered the egg to the potion bottle with sticky tape. Then I stamped the images onto Choice Snow White cardstock, colored them with the Easter Copic kit, and punched them out. Then I just adhered the white circle onto the bottle with sticky tape, tied the tops with ribbon, and added small flowers to each of the eggs. The ribbon, cardstock, and mini flowers are all from the Easter Key Ingredients.
That’s all I have for sneak peeks today! I hope you like these new sets as much as I do! Don’t forget to check out the rest of the Baker’s Dozen sneak peeks using Easter Blessings & Favorite Peeps and we’ll see you tomorrow for the Whimsical Wishes party!
