Announcing our May/June Guest Designer
It’s almost time for another Taylored Expressions release full of fun surprises and fabulous stamp sets! But before we get started on sneak peeks tomorrow, I have a few announcements for you today!
First, a big thank you to Amy Sheffer, our Guest Designer for the past two months. She did an absolutely amazing job showcasing the TE stamps and you can see all of her beautiful creations right here in the gallery!
So with Amy’s departure I’m excited to introduce our next Taylored Expressions Guest Designer for the months of May and June, Sandra MacLean! After just one visit to Sandra’s blog: Paper Funtastics, you’ll become a daily follower. Each of her fun and whimsical creations is marked by her amazing ability to color. I hope you’ll stop over to Sandra’s blog and join me in welcoming her as our Guest Designer! I can hardly wait to see what she has in store for us!
I also have a short video to share with you today. If you’ve never seen the Corner Chomper in action, here’s your chance! The Corner Chomper is a great tool that will chomp through almost any material with one swift squeeze. It comes in 4 different styles that punch a total of 8 designs. I’ve color coordinated the punched squares below with the color of the handle of the tool that makes the same shape. Here are links to the products in the store so you can check ’em out:
Rounded Corners (teal handle)
Stub/Deco Corners (green handle)
Cloud/Scallop Corners (purple handle)
Angle/Photo Cornders (pink handle)
We just received this new patterned paper from the My Mind’s Eye So Sophie Clever collection and the fresh color combo inspired me to create something springy today! And I wanted to use one of my favorite corner chomper designs for the main panel, the Photo corner. I used the Celebrate Life stamp set along with a Bible verse sentiment from Faith and Hope. It’s amazing what a different style you can get from the same stamp set just by changing up the colors. Check out this fall card that I created using the same Celebrate Life set and you’ll see it has an entirely different style. I love versatility! To finish off the card I added some Starfire glitter to the images with my Quickie Glue Pen as well as some Lippy Red rhinestones and a few small rhinestone swirls. Thanks for stopping by today!
