Sneak Peeks – Take Note & Taylored Dies!
Welcome to the first day of sneak peeks for the August release at Taylored Expressions! I’m so glad you’re joining us because we have some fabulous goodies to show you today! All of our latest products will be released on Friday at 8am PST! I’ll get started with the latest stamp set in the Whimsical Wishes collection. It’s called Take Note and it’s the perfect solution for journals, notepads, and altered books! The set was concepted by Jami Sibley and perfectly executed by illustrator Nancy McKinney. It includes three frame stamps and various options for designating your book a to-do list, exercise journal, sketch book, etc. For my first project I created a journal using my new Cinch machine. Do you have a Cinch? It’s the Cadillac of binding machines and I’m so excited to show you more about it! We’ll have the Cinch and all of the accessories in the TE Store on Friday and I can hardly wait! So after I bound my journal with the Cinch I decorated the front and back chipboard covers with patterned papers from the In the Kitchen Project Pantry kit. I love these bright colors! I added a large crystal swirl and a little bit of olive and cream dot ribbon.
Are you ready for our next big announcement!? Did you notice in the closeup picture of my journal how perfectly the frame and flower are cut out? Trust me, that’s not my steady hand and a scissors…that’s our new Taylored Dies! Our exclusive dies are made from American steel, manufactured in the U.S., and work in nearly every major die cutting machine on the market including the Big Shot by Sizzix and the Cuttlebug by Provo Craft. We’ve designed our first die releases to coordinate with TE Stamps allowing you to cut stamped images quickly, easily, and perfectly every time! But the best part is that these dies cut more than just paper! You’ll want to try them with fabric, felt, metal, magnet, polyshrink, canvas, and more. Here’s a quick card that I made with the Garden Party Blooms stamp set and the Garden Party dies. I just love the finished look of the stamped images cut out with the dies. Because our stamps are rubber we go through a little different process to insure that you get an accurately trimmed image each time you use the dies. I made a quick video to show you how the Taylored Dies work so I hope you’ll take a couple minutes to watch it!
I’m so excited to offer these first dies and I hope you’ll come along for the ride as we continue to design and release new dies each month! Now I know you’ll want to see what the rest of the Baker’s Dozen has been up to using the Take Note stamp set and the new Taylored Dies:
