‘Tis Near Halloween
I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day! The weather here in Iowa was doing its best to make our day completely ‘labor free’ as our power went out early yesterday morning. It’s amazing what you can no longer do without electricity and there’s nothing quite like showering in the dark! Although it was fun to see all the kids in our neighborhood riding bikes and shooting baskets instead of playing video games inside. Gosh, I sound like my mother (no offense Mom, but I’m sounding old!).
We hosted a gathering last night and I was supposed to be making all the food. Well, an electric stove with no electricity isn’t much help! So I lugged all my groceries over to my mom’s house and she helped me cook and bake. The power finally came back on about an hour before our guests arrived so the party was saved! Jon grilled chicken and steak kebobs and we also had homemade potato salad, corn on the cob, and fresh cinnamon peach crisp for dessert.
OK… enough chit-hatting… I’ll get to the details on my card! *grin* I used images from the Hangin’ Out – Wicked Wardrobe set to create my scene. I love that the images in this set can be used outside of the Hangin’ Out clothesline concept too! All of the supplies I used on this card are from the Fright Night Project Pantry kit right down to the little bat and pumpkin brads and the crinkled crepe ribbon. I covered the cat with black liquid applique (which totally looks like fur!) and added Tuxedo Smooch for a little sparkle on the pole. Oooh… I can hardly wait for Halloween!!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a wonderful day!
