Just a Blog Hop
Welcome to Just A Blog Hop! A bunch of gals were invited to put aside our stamping obligations and deadlines and create something just for fun. I can’t think of a better time to do this as we all celebrate World Cardmaking Day! The guidelines for the hop were simple: choose a challenge to participate in and use an un-inked stamp or an old favorite from your collection. And the last step is the one that’s easy to forget… mail the card to someone! Today I’m making it my goal to write out some cards and get them addressed!
If you arrived here after checking out Tosha’s beautiful card, then you’re on the right track! The fabulous Danielle is next on the hop, but first lemme show you what I made!
I have quite a vast collection of stamps, but finally settled on using this cute image from The More The Merrier set by Stampin’ Up. It was a past hostess set that my friend Jami gave me because she knows how much I love cupcakes (there’s a cupcake border in the set too). Sadly, the set had remained un-inked until today. How cute are these little birdies!? They were quick and fun to color with Copics to match the Cosmo Cricket Pixie-Licious papers. For my layout, I headed over to Mercy’s blog and found that her latest sketch challenge worked perfectly with this image! The card is pretty simple…I just added a few brads, a metal flower embellishment, and a little bow for the finishing touches!
Thanks for stopping by for our Just A Blog Hop! You can hop along to the next stop: Danielle’s blog or start the hop from the beginning at Jami’s blog!
