Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Day 1
Good morning and Happy Monday! Usually Monday isn’t an especially ‘happy’ day, but today is different! Hold onto your seats because today is the day we begin sneak peeks for our October release which includes 9 new stamp sets, 2 coordinating dies, and 2 holiday card kits! Did you fall out of your seat!? I know… I tried to warn you! *wink* All of our new products will be available for purchase on Thursday, October 7th at 8am PST!
We don’t want to keep you waiting any longer so today the Baker’s Dozen and I have sneak peeks to share using four of the new stamp sets we’ll be releasing on Thursday! I’ll get right to the goodies:
My first card features the latest addition to our Stamp a Sweet Impression collection: Gobble Gobble. I know our Cuppie fans are going to love this set! These Thanksgiving themed stamps feature Cuppie as a turkey, pilgrim, and indian along with coordinating sentiments and several other images. I stamped and colored Cuppie with Copic markers and cut him out with a scalloped circle. The sentiment was the focal point of my layout and I used lots of Spellbinders circles to work it all out. The patterned paper is Basic Grey’s Pyrus collection paired with Prismatics cardstock and some ribbon from my stash!
The next project I created will be the invitation for the 1st annual VanBruggen Holiday Cocktail Party! Wanna come? The set is appropriately named Merry Little Cocktail and is the latest addition to the TE collection. I’m all about a good appletini so these stamps are right up my alley! I started with a 12″ x 12″ sheet of red cardstock and scored it so that the top flap would overlap the bottom. I cut the flap with the Labels 17 die to create the bracketed edge on both the cardstock and the patterned paper. I stamped the image and sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored the image with Copics. I also added Lime Green Stickles to my “appletini”. To finish off the front of the invitation I added a glittered snowflake (details on that embellishment coming tomorrow!) and a button along with some velcro to hold the flap closed. I stamped additional images from the set on the inside of the invitation (just click on the picture to make it bigger).
Next up is Penguin Pals, a new stamp set in the Apple Doodle Ink collection! How adorable are these little penguins? I love them! I started by stamping the image in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloring it with Copic Markers. I added Sugar Sparkly Fluff to the Santa hat and a bit of Sundance Smooch to the lights on the tree. The patterned papers and cardstock that I used on this card are part of one of the Holiday Card Kits we’ll be introducing tomorrow! After coloring the image I took a piece of snowflake chipboard and spritzed it with Cherry Metallic Maya Mist. To finish it off I added a rhinestone to the center and popped it up on foam tape. Pretty sweet and simple with this one!
And last, but certainly not least, we have another stamp set in the Whimsical Wishes collection, the latest in the Hangin’ Out series: Hangin’ Out at the North Pole! I decided not to explore the clothesline concept for my first card because I wanted to show you another one of the cute images in the set! I love this sweet snowman and it looks so perfect with these patterned papers. These are the same papers that I used in the penguin card above and they’re part of one of our new holiday card kits that I’ll tell you more about tomorrow. I started by stamping the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloring it with Copics. I paper pieced the scarf to match the patterned paper and stamped snowflakes onto the background of the image panel. Then I added the ‘let it snow’ rub-on to finish it off.
