Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks – Day 2
It’s time for our second day of sneak peeks for our upcoming November release! Today I’m so excited to share From the Heart & From the Heart Funnies, two sets that I illustrated as part of our TE collection. From the Heart has tons of possibilities! The set includes three sentiment rings that fit inside a frame image (with a coordinating die) along with nineteen simple images to make quick and easy work of creating tags and packaging for your gifts! It’s a great set for the upcoming holidays, but serves a purpose year-round as well! Less talk…more pictures, right!? Here goes!

I know I’ve mentioned that one of our holiday traditions is dipping pretzels! I never get tired of candy coated pretzels (mmm…the sweet and salty) and I’m always searching for new ways to package them up and give them away to friends and family. I started a little early this year and dipped these pretzels over the weekend adding some red and green sprinkles. I grabbed one of my Mini Kraft Bakery Bags…they’re the perfect size for packaging up just the right amount of this sweet treat. I started by wrapping Peppermint Fabric Tape around the top and bottom of the bag as well as red satin ribbon. The fabric tape is self-adhesive and I used 1/2″ Sticky Tape to adhere the satin ribbon. Then I stamped the frame image in Warm Red Colorbox Chalk ink and die cut it with the coordinating From the Heart Frame die. I stamped the ‘from my kitchen’ sentiment ring inside along with the pretzel to coordinate with my gift. I tied the tag on with twine to finish it off.
I was feeling inspired to create another project and while I don’t drink coffee, I have lots of friends and family who can’t begin a day without a least one cup! I saw these Starbucks Via packets at Target recently and was more intrigued by the little pouch than the coffee itself so I decided to create my own pouch. I used Kraft cardstock to make the base of the pouch and embellished it with Peppermint Fabric Tape. I stamped the frame, sentiment ring, and coffee cup image and colored it with Copics. I think this little pouch would be a fun gift in place of a Starbucks Gift Card! It’s Starbuck’s fresh from your own coffee maker!
I’m sure by now you’re all familiar with the holiday cupcake apron that I wore during our recent video series. Before we mail off the apron to our winner, I wanted to create a special tag for it. The apron was hand-made by my amazing mom so I thought the sewing machine was appropriate for the tag. I also had to use the apron die we introduced yesterday because it’s just too perfect for an apron gift! So those are the three gift tags I created using From the Heart which means there are still sixteen more images to explore in the set!
Before you head off to check out what the rest of the Baker’s Dozen has created, I want to show you the set of cards I made using the mini companion set, From the Heart Funnies. Adding these fun sentiments to the images in the From the Heart set expands the possibilities! I used a small strip of patterned paper from the Bon Appetit collection by Doodlebug. Each of the cards is sized 4.25″ square and I added ribbon and a small bow to each one. The cardstock and ink colors are as follows:
Frosted Teal – Stampin’ Up Cool Caribbean
Classic Red – Colorbox Warm Red
Intense Kiwi – Colorbox Lime Pastel
Intense Orange – Colorbox Tangerine
Intense Yellow – Stampin’ Up Summer Sun
All of the images and sentiments were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. You can click on the picture above or each of the individual pictures below for a closer view of the cards.
I know that was a lot to take in, but I was a lot of fun with these stamps! Now it’s time to check out what the rest of the Baker’s Dozen created with From the Heart & Funnies!
