Taylored Expressions February Sneaks – Day 3
Before I get started with our last day of sneak peeks, I have to stop for a little happy dance… my flight took off yesterday without any cancellations or delays! *happy dance* Unfortunately I’m feeling worse with a nasty cold/flu, but at least I’m at home (trying to see the glass half full!). Today the Baker’s Dozen and I have one more stamp set to share with you! We’re also being joined by the fabulous Iwona Palamountain who concepted the It’s a Banner Day stamp set! I happened to be doing some blog-hopping and discovered this adorable card on Iwona’s blog. I instantly fell in love with the banner she used to highlight the sentiment. I read her post to figure out where she got the banner stamp and come to find out she drew it herself! Something so cute definitely needed to be a stamp for everyone to enjoy so It’s A Banner Day was born! Come to find out, Iwona draws all sorts of cute banners and I’m super excited to add to this concept in future months. And there’s more…a banner stamp just wouldn’t be complete without a banner die to match!
Today the Baker’s Dozen will be sharing sneak peeks of the Banner Day stamp set paired with lots of different TE stamp sets, old and new. The banners and sentiments are super versatile and will go with just about anything! I used the small Raine acrylic frame for my project today. These frames are so fun to create a quick shadowbox project that looks really fancy. You can find all of them in the Alterables category starting tomorrow at 8am PST. I started by stamping the cupcake house from Cozy Cottages with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the image with Copics, added a red candy dot for the cherry, and cut out the image. I airbrushed the cloud pattern onto Choice Snow White cardstock and also added some of our new cloud die cuts popped up on foam tape. I sparkle-fied the clouds with Stardust Stickles and popped the house up on foam tape over the rolling hills. While the Banner Day stamp set comes with several sentiments appropriate for many occasions, I thought it would be fun to see what other sentiments fit inside the banner. It turns out there are a ton including the home sweet home sentiment from the new Cozy Cottages set. The patterned paper is from the Tickled Pink collection.
Speaking of patterned paper, you’ll want to be on the lookout for the following patterned paper collections at the TE Store as we’ll be offering a 20% discount on these cute papers beginning tomorrow at 8am PST!
