Taylored Expressions March Sneaks – Day 2
Good morning and welcome to our second day of sneak peeks for the March release at Taylored Expressions! All of the new products the Baker’s Dozen and I sharing will be available for purchase at 8AM PST on Thursday, March 3rd. So what’s on the menu today? We’re celebrating spring with the latest addition to the Apple Doodle Ink collection, Hello Spring! This set includes 20 images made from deeply etched rubber, already trimmed and ready to use! And each image is cuter than the last! We’re also introducing another addition to our Lasting Impressions collection, Easter Joy. This is a sweet mini set of 10 images including 2 Bible verses. I’m excited to add something *cute* to my Christian stamp collection and it also coordinates great with Hello Spring for even more possibilities! Now it’s time to show you my goodies!
I had such a good time creating this card! I started by stamping the spring parade in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloring it with Copics to match the Echo Park Springtime patterned paper. I cut the image out with Spellbinders Labels 17 and hand-cut the blue layer behind the image panel. And once again, you can’t see all the glitter in the photo, but it’s there! I knew I wanted to use this particular scalloped pattern from the Springtime paper and I thought it would be cut to create some scallops of my own at the bottom of the card. So I cut scalloped borders from three coordinating cardstocks using the Medium Scalloped border die. I also used my Martha Grass Border punch above the scallops. The I decided the parade needed a rhinestone road to travel along so I grabbed my Crystal Twinkles and Embellie Gellie to add the strip of bling. To finish it off I used the It’s a Banner Day 2 set and coordinating die with a sentiment from Hello Spring.
As I said above, I’m excited to be able to add some cute images to my Christian stamp collection with the Easter Joy set. Not all Christian stamps have to be elegant, right!? I thought I’d create a set of ATC cards that would be great to slip in a child’s lunchbox, give to the kids in Sunday school, or even as a tag on an Easter treat. Each of the cards measures 2.5″ x 3.5″. I stamped the images and sentiments in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them with Copic markers. All of the cardstock, patterned paper, ribbon, and embellishments are from the Spring Project Pantry kit that I shared with you yesterday! Everything was already coordinated so these little cards took no time at all! So I decided to also create some packaging to store my Easter cards/tags. I used a clear top hinged tin… adhered ribbon around the base of the tin with Sticky Tape and created a wrap to keep it closed. Again, the image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. The rest of the ingredients are from the Spring Project Pantry kit.
Thanks so much for stopping by for our second day of sneak peeks! We have one more day of peeks tomorrow before all of the new products are available. In the meantime, you’ll definitely want to check out what the talented team has created using these two stamp sets… get ready for some serious cuteness!
