Moka April – One of My Favorite Peeps
Good morning! I hope you’re all enjoying a wonderful Wednesday! The weather is absolutely gorgeous again, but we’re all on edge around here wondering if there might be one more snow this season. That would be such a giant step backwards after almost two weeks of 70+ degrees! All of this beautiful weather has put me in a sunshiny mood lately so I’m gonna focus on the flowers and not the possibility of snow. New products from CHA have been pouring in lately including some super cute springy patterned papers. I decided to grab the adorable Doodlebug Hello Spring 6×6 paper pad for my project today. Doodlebug just recently started making 6×6 pads and I LOVE THEM! I’ve always loved Doodlebug anyway, but these patterns are just so sweet and scaled down perfectly for cardmakers. I started by stamping Moka April in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloring her with Copics. I used the Brown Hair Color Kit and the Light Tone Skin Color kit along with BV01, BG53, R83, Y21, and E55 to color her basket, eggs, shoes, and headband. I cut the image out with Spellbinders Labels 4 and airbrushed inside the die line with Copic (Y21). The card base is one of Doodlebug’s Create a Card designs so then all I had to do was add my patterned paper and pop up the sentiment and image panel with foam tape. Ooh… and I almost forgot the cutest little detail! I added a pink Making Memories Metal flower to her headband. I love how this turned out and I can’t wait to get it off in the mail!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you all have a wonderful day!
