Today the Baker’s Dozen and I are sharing sneak peeks using one mini stamp set and two petite Moka stamps, both great for the men in your life! All of the new products the new products will be
available for purchase starting on Thursday, May 3rd at 8am PST. Here we go!

My first card uses Lakeside Lodge, the latest Adorable Abode from the series concepted by Jami Sibley and illustrated for the Apple Doodle Ink collection. The house is super cool and quite detailed so I wanted to try creating something that didn’t require coloring in the entire house. I started by stamping the house and dock onto light blue patterned paper from the Loyal Project Pantry Kit with Arctic Deep Colorbox Chalk Ink. I colored portions of the image with Copic and added Glossy Accents to all of the windows. It dressed up the image just enough without taking a ton of time. I distressed the edges of the blue panel with my cool new Prima Distressing Tool and sponged with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I love all the different things this one tool can do! I turned down the corner of the image panel and attached the sentiment using a silver brad. I also added waves using the Wave Border Die and added three Split Pea rhinestones to the bottom left of the card.

For second project I used the new Moka Bobby (a.k.a. Bobby Flay…the ultimate grill master). This is one of two new Moka men so make sure you travel around to the other design team blogs for a look at Bobby’s twin brother Tim (a.k.a. Tim “the tool man” Taylor)! I knew I wanted to use the checkerboard pattern from the My Mind’s Eye Dilly Dally 6×6 paper pad so I started with that and Jen’s Deconstructed Sketch #45 for the layout. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, paper pieced the apron with the checkerboard paper, and colored the rest with Copics. We’re pretty spoiled these days with all the dies that will cut out stamped images quickly and perfectly, but I really wanted to cut around Moka Bobby so he would stand out a little more from the image panel. So I decided to try out another new tool, the Prima Craft Knife. It has 4 different blades and a little hidden storage compartment in the handle for all of them! After popping up the image on foam tape I layered it onto Spellbinders Lacey Circles, added a sentiment and three glitter brads in the corner and called it good!
