Taylored Expressions August Sneak Peeks – Day 2
Hey there! It’s time to kick off our second day of sneak peeks for the August Release at Taylored Expressions! All of the new products will be available for purchase starting tomorrow at 8am PST in our Fresh Out of the Oven Department! But first, 10 lucky ladies on our Facebook page will have a chance to win one of our new releases! All you have to do to be one of those 10 lucky ladies is tune in for our Preview Party on Facebook starting tonight at 6pm PST! So let’s get on with the show and we’ll be one step closer to the party! Today the Baker’s Dozen and I are sharing dies, dies, and more Taylored dies (with some stamps mixed in too!)…
For my first (and most favorite!) project I used our new Library Pocket die! I saw an idea similar to this on Pinterest a few weeks ago and immediately thought “Hey… I could do that with the Library Pocket Die!”.
I cut out the Library Pocket from several different colors of cardstock and then punched a half circle in the top of each. I folded on the score lines and assembled each one with Sticky Tape. Then I glue the back of each pocket to the front of the next pocket to create the accordion booklet. I used the notepaper die and notepaper a la carte stamp to create little notes for the pockets and also included a couple small gift cards inside. I thought this would be the perfect little gift to start the school year with a new teacher! The sentiments are from the Little Schoolhouse set and the patterned paper is from the My Mind’s Eye School Daze 6×6 pad. Here’s a look at the dies I used:
For my second project I decided to get crafty with the new Mark Your Spot bookmark die and coordinating stamp set. It’s the gift that keeps on giving as the recipient can take the bookmark from the pocket on the cardfront and use it!
I stamped all of the images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics. The patterned paper is from the Echo Park Hello Summer 6×6 pad and I tied off the top of the bookmark with yellow and white polka dot ribbon.
And for my final project today I used the Notepaper & Clipboard die set along with the Gridpaper A la Carte stamp to create this bright, mod card:
I started by stamping the Gridpaper A la Carte and cutting it out with the Notepaper die. Then I stamped images from the Doodle Notes set over the top and colored the little squares in different colors. I was looking around for some metal to cut the clipboard topper and I couldn’t find anything so I cut apart a pop can and used that. I’m adding that to the list of cool things that our dies can cut through! The patterned paper on this card is from the My Mind’s Eye School Daze 6×6 pad.
Those are my projects for today! Now head out to see what the rest of the team did with the new Taylored Dies!
