TE October Release Spotlight Day
Hey there! Happy Friday! Thanks so much for tuning in during our October sneak peeks and release this week! All of the new products are now available for purchase in our Fresh Out of the Oven department. We’ve had an overwhelming response so far, but we’re working hard to make sure you get your orders quickly!
And to make this day even better, the A-MAZING Baker’s Dozen is back with more inspiring creations using our new October products! I love these girls and their fabulous creativity! I feel so blessed each month when they show off our stamps and share their amazing talent with TE!
For my project I used The Cool Crowd stamp set and Reindeer Food stamp set:
When I first began stamping in 2004 (has it really been 8 years already!?) I loved setting up a booth at local craft fairs during the holiday season. You can see a few of my past craft show posts here, here, and here. Cute little gift items like these were my top sellers! I think they were popular because they look finished and professional while still being handmade. And people love to give handmade (especially at the holidays!) even if they didn’t make it themselves! So whether you’re doing craft shows or looking for cute little gifts to give to friends or coworkers, the reindeer food and snowman poop are sure to be a hit!
I picked up a couple different sized glass jars at Michael’s. Both sizes were only $1 each. I put snowman poop (marshmallows) in the smaller jar and reindeer food in the larger jar. The recipe for reindeer food is:
1/2 c. uncooked oats
1/2 c. white sugar
1/4 c. colored sugar crystals (like those used in cake decorating)
Some recipes call for glitter instead of the sugar crystals, however, glitter can be harmful to birds if ingested so its probably better to stick with the sugar crystals. Here are the TE dies that I used on these projects… Make a Snowflake, Frame it Up 1, Label Stacklets 1:
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Make sure you check out the rest of the Baker’s Dozen inspiration!
