Taylored Expressions May Sneak Peek: Blooming in Love

Hello crafty friends! Welcome to the second and final day of sneak peeks for our May Release! In case you missed any of the amazing projects from Day 1, you can start the tour by clicking here.  Today I’m excited to feature our new full size stamp set, Happily Ever After.  With wedding season fast approaching I needed a stamp set that combined the elegance of a wedding with traditional TE cuteness.  This set does just that!

I began by using watercolor paper for my card front, stamping the flowers in Versamark, and embossing with white embossing powder. I watercolored inside each of the blooms with Tim Holtz distress markers. Then I masked all of the flowers and airbrushed around them with Copic BG10. It took a bit of time to achieve the end result, but I really love the softness that the watercoloring and airbrushing gives! Here’s a closeup:

To top off the card I inked up the Mr. & Mrs. stamps (also included in the Happily Ever After set) and added pearls and brads to the center of some of the blooms to make them pop even more.

    You can go to sleep when you are dead! This common myth is believed by gamers and is also propagated by online websites which claim to provide good gaming recommendations . Completely false! A person needs a full 8 hours to keep their body healthy.

    To save money, consider purchasing used games. The cost of new online gaming are $60 or higher depending on the title. This price is bad enough as it is, but it can a real downer when the game is delivered and you find that you absolutely hate it. By purchasing a used game, you could save 25-50% on the game you want.

    Rather than spending money on a new wii, consider playing your favorite games on your computer. Many games, especially ones that have been out for a while, are avaiable to be played free online. This allows you game play at a much lower price.

    If possible, try games out before you buy them at your local library. Most public libraries offer computer games that can be checked out for free. The library usually has game titles for all different systems, so simply call ahead and see if they have the title you want.

    Figure out how to operate the safety and parental controls of any gaming system that comes into your home. You can likely make adjustments that keep kids from viewing mature content. Some allow each gaming profile to be customized separately, allowing adults to enjoy games not meant for younger audiences.
